This happened a few days ago, but I just read about it….I know, I know…I live in a cage, not a cave.
Jill Filipovic tweeted a picture of an interesting note that she found in her suitcase after a flight to Dublin. A TSA agent searching her bag found her vibrator and scribbled “GET YOUR FREAK ON GIRL” on the notice informing her of the inspection.
It was reportedly a very mild bullet vibrator from none other than Babeland.com. I also read that many others have come forward since this was reported, sharing their own similar stories. The TSA employee was promptly fired. Not very surprising. They don’t really need anymore bad publicity these days. It makes you wonder though. If that is the response that one gets by packing a bullet, what would our note say? It almost makes you want to pack a bag and find out doesn’t it? 
At least she had a sense of humor about the incident. As she wrote on her blog:
Total violation of privacy, wildly inappropriate and clearly not ok, but I also just died laughing in my hotel room.
There are a lot of women (and I’m sure quite a few men) who would be mortified to know someone found something so personal while digging through their luggage. I really hope this incident acts as a catalyst for a bit of a crackdown over in TSA-land.
